The Wonderful World of Tone!
Compassionate

Definition: Showing sympathy, an urge to help

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
~Matthew 11:28-30

In this chapter of Matthew, Jesus teaches the people of Galilee of many things, most importantly His intimate relationship with God.  By inviting all those "who are weary and burdened" to learn from Jesus, they "will find rest for [their] souls".  The yoke, in which two animals are latched together to support a heavy load, is symbolism that Jesus uses to compassionately encourage those who are burdened with trials and struggles to depend on Him to lighten their souls.
